ASD employs engineers, system designers, CAD specialists and project managers fully qualified to provide security system design documents and specifications, as well as project management responsibility during the construction phase.
As part of the architectural design team or as a stand-alone consultant, ASD will provide device location drawings, end-point details, riser diagrams and 3D renderings of all security system components and functions. We also have the capbility of providing Building Information Modeling (BIM) services in conjunction with the Architect's designs. CSI-formatted specifications will be provided to guide all facets of the security systems, as well as interface with other relevant building systems.
Ideally, design services begin in the schematic Design Phase shortly after the Security Program is completed and approved by the client. ASD will then participate throughout the Design Development and Construction Document phases with increasing levels of involvement and detail.
ASD services continue through the Bidding and Construction phases. Project Managers will guide all facets of the bid and construction process, including developing RFQ and RFP documents, identifying qualified security systems integrators, evaluating and leveling bids, responding to RFIs, leading and particpating in progress meetings and conducting punchlist inspections and acceptance testing.
